Homes, apartment buildings and commercial/industrial facilities built before 1978 may contain lead paint. Renovations and repairs to these facilities can cause dust, fumes and debris which could lead to lead poisoning in adults and children. Children under the age of six are at the highest risk for lead poisoning but adults can also develop serious health problems.
